Position: Non-Instructional Paraeducator

Location: Walled Lake Elementary

Date Available: 26-27 School Year Monday through Friday, Approximate Hours 8:45am - 4:15pm (Includes duty free unpaid 30-minute lunch) 7 hours per day/35 hours per week Paraeducator Classification B

New Hire Starting Rate of Pay: $17.33

Qualifications and Duties

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work under the direct supervision of the classroom teacher
• Ability to effectively interact/maintain a professional rapport with students, staff and parents
• Ability to provide support for students as determined by teacher and the student's needs
• Ability to work with students to manage behaviors and assist with academics, under the supervision of a certified teacher
• Provide care for students with diabetes
• Possess the ability to interpret and understand IEP/behavior goals, including observing and recording behavioral data
• Prepare and implement accommodations/modifications as outlined in the Individualized Education Program (IEP)
