Auditor

The Florida Department of Transportation's Office of Inspector General seeks an Internal Auditor to conduct assurance and consulting engagements related to transit, planning, aviation, and seaport grants. The position, based in Tallahassee, involves coordinating audits, developing audit programs, analyzing evidence, and preparing reports to promote accountability and process improvement. The successful candidate will have knowledge of auditing standards, IT and operational auditing practices, and the ability to analyze complex organizational and financial processes. Key qualifications: Knowledge of AICPA Generally Accepted Auditing Standards, GAO Government Auditing Standards, and IIA Professional Practices Framework Knowledge of information technology and operational auditing best practices and techniques Ability to analyze problems using sound reasoning and distinguish relevant from irrelevant information Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with clear and organized presentations Skills to effectively use word processing, spreadsheets, graphic presentation software and data query languages Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments and accomplish goals in a fast-paced environment #J-18808-Ljbffr
