Responsibilities Process purchase requisitions and convert to purchase orders accurately and promptly. Ensure all required documentation, pricing, and approvals are in place before order submission. Maintain accurate data entry in ERP systems for all procurement transactions. Track purchase orders and update delivery status as information becomes available. Communicate with vendors to confirm order receipt, pricing, and delivery timelines. Support expediting activities by following up on open orders and resolving basic delivery issues. Assist with reconciliation of received materials against purchase orders. Support Accounts Payable with 3‑way match (PO, receipt, invoice) discrepancies. Maintain organized records of all procurement activities. Provide regular updates to project teams on order status. Assist Project Managers with project budgets and cost reports/analysis. Perform other administrative procurement tasks as needed. Requirements Strong organizational and coordination skills. Basic proficiency in computer applications and data entry. Basic understanding of purchasing principles and vendor communication. Occasional physical requirements (standing, walking, reaching, lifting 25–50 lb, exerting 50 lb of force, maneuvering in varying weather conditions). Strong data entry and administrative processing skills with high accuracy and speed. Excellent vision for detailed work and ability to read, write, and speak English clearly. Ability to use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriately. Proactive, prioritize work, and perform under pressure. Ability to navigate work sites safely during day/night, outdoor hot/cold weather, and use appropriate PPE. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. 1+ year of purchasing, administrative, or related experience. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Preferred Qualifications Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Global Shop, or similar). Exposure to procurement, logistics, or construction environments. Associate degree or coursework in business, supply chain, or related field. Additional Information This position requires work in both office locations and outdoors in all weather conditions, including precipitation, cold/heat, high wind, and turbulence. The buyer will frequently be exposed to the local area's typical conditions, and must prioritize safety for themselves and others, work under time-sensitive deadlines, and be available for extended schedules that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. #J-18808-Ljbffr Patterson-UTI
