Questions Job Line Phone number: View phone number on click.appcast.io Requirements Two (2) years of professional work experience in one or more of the following areas: criminal justice, military intelligence, law enforcement, conducting research/interviews, data analysis, investigations, and administrative assistant/executive assistant. A post-secondary degree from an accredited university/college may be used as an alternative for the years of professional work experience on a year-for-year basis. Note: Professional work experience” generally includes roles with administrative, supervisory, analytical, or operational responsibilities in structured or corporate settings. Entry-level roles in the service or retail industry (e.g., McDonald’s, Publix) typically do not qualify. VALID Driver’s License from the Department of Safety and Motor Vehicles. Proficient in using Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) Preference Special consideration may be given to eligible candidates who have bilingual verbal and written skills that meet the critical needs of the agency’s mission. Active Florida Crime Information Center or National Crime Center certificate. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSFOR THIS POSITION INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING REQUIRED ENTRY LEVEL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of record writing techniques. Knowledge of research and intelligence analysis techniques. Knowledge of the procedures and techniques for effective verbal and written communication. Ability to analyze, interpret and summarize criminal intelligence data. Ability to review large amounts of criminal intelligence data and to determine the significance, completeness and usefulness of the data. Ability to write reports, investigative summaries and memoranda resulting from information analysis. Ability to make independent decisions. Ability to report information clearly, concisely and accurately, both verbally and in writing. Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. OTHER KSAs (Incumbent may learn on job): Ability to coordinate the dissemination of information Knowledge of the Florida Crime Information Center (FCIC) and the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) terminal procedures Ability to obtain and maintain FCIC/NCIC certification Knowledge of criminal intelligence or military intelligence procedures Knowledge of intelligence analysis procedures, research procedures, law enforcement procedures, analytical techniques, and intelligence collection methods Knowledge of writing/journalist techniques, teaching/education techniques, interviewing techniques, business/accounting techniques, mathematics/statistics/computer science techniques Ability to travel and work outside assigned area.
