About the Role

A growing, multi-site operations organization is seeking a Director of Human Resources to lead HR support across seven warehouse facilities. This is a hands-on, field-focused leadership role dedicated to warehouse operations. The Director will work closely with general managers, operations leaders, supervisors, and a team of five HR partners to strengthen employee relations, compliance, leadership capability, and facility performance.

The right person knows how to build credibility with frontline leaders, provide practical support, and hold teams accountable. They can adapt HR practices to the realities of each facility while maintaining consistent standards across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead HR support for seven warehouse facilities, partnering closely with general managers and operations leadership.
• Manage, coach, and develop a team of five HR partners supporting the facilities.
• Guide leaders through employee relations matters, investigations, performance management, and other workforce issues.
• Build strong working relationships with supervisors, balancing hands-on coaching with clear expectations and accountability.
• Strengthen HR compliance by developing and applying practical policies, procedures, and training suited to warehouse operations.
• Partner with facility leaders to address staffing, attendance, retention, teammate development, and promotion opportunities.
• Review people and facility performance measures, including attrition, attendance, productivity, and workforce development, and help leaders act on the results.
• Support bonus recommendations and calibration by connecting performance assessments to specific, measurable business and facility impact.
• Partner with facility, safety, and operations teams to support training, teammate safety, and consistent practices across locations.

Qualifications

• Progressive HR leadership experience in a multi-site, operations-focused organization.
• Experience leading or developing HR business partners or a distributed HR team.
• Strong employee relations, investigation, performance management, and compliance experience.
• Background supporting warehouse, logistics, distribution, manufacturing, or similarly fast-paced frontline operations.
• Ability to coach supervisors and general managers, build trust, and address difficult issues directly.
• Experience using workforce and operational metrics to identify issues and guide action.
• Strong judgment, communication, organization, and follow-through.
• Ability to work onsite five days per week and travel to facilities approximately one week per month.
• Experience supporting employees across multiple states or provinces is an asset.
