Technician

Position Summary The Water Technician plays a crucial role in managing and executing restoration projects, including those involving water and microbial damage. They oversee hands‑on restoration efforts, coordinate with team members, and ensure work is completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. Responsibilities Perform restoration tasks such as water extraction, drying, demolition, removal, and decontamination according to industry best practices and project specifications. Assist Lead Water Technician in conducting thorough inspections and evaluations of damaged properties, documenting findings, and producing scopes of work. Communicate directly with Lead Water Technicians, Project Managers, and Production Coordinators to explain scope progress, address concerns, and provide regular updates. Operate and maintain restoration equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition and used safely. Monitor work quality, perform final inspections, and ensure tasks meet or exceed industry standards and client expectations. Maintain detailed records of work performed, including daily logs, photos, and progress reports. Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and uploaded into the correct application(s). Adhere to and enforce all safety procedures and regulations, ensuring a safe work environment. Provide support and guidance to less experienced technicians to improve overall team performance. Remain onsite for the entirety of the scheduled shift, which may exceed 8 hours, to ensure project continuity and efficiency. Participate in the on‑call rotation. Perform other duties as assigned or apparent. Skills/Qualifications Required: Organizational skills Strong problem‑solving/decision‑making capabilities Analytical thinking Strong understanding and support of the principles behind standards and protocols Preferred: OSHA 10/30/40 certification IICRC certification in WRT and/or ASD Physical Demands This position requires the employee to stand or walk for extended periods of time and may involve heavy manual labor. Tasks may include lifting weights exceeding 100 lbs without team assistance. Work Requirements This is an in‑field position that requires frequent travel to and from active jobsites. Job sites may contain asbestos, microbial growth, lead, or other hazardous materials; personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided. Worksite Conditions Job sites may lack electricity and require operations in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
