Maintenance Worker – The Salvation Army (ARC Program)Make a difference while keeping our facilities running smoothly.Join The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC) team and help maintain safe, functional, and welcoming spaces for our residents, shoppers, donors, and staff. This hands-on role supports multiple locations—including the ARC Center, warehouse, thrift stores, and administrative sites—while directly contributing to our mission of "Doing the Most Good."What You'll Do:You'll perform a variety of maintenance and repair tasks across multiple Salvation Army properties, including:Facilities & Grounds MaintenancePerform general repairs involving basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and HVAC supportMaintain floors (buffing, cleaning, and general upkeep)Conduct groundskeeping, mowing, landscaping, and snow removalAssist with room setups and teardowns for operations and program needs (fixtures, displays, furniture, etc.)General SupportAssist with moving furniture, boxes, store fixtures, and donated materialsAccompany vendors/contractors as neededDrive a Salvation Army vehicle to pick up supplies or deliver itemsPerform additional maintenance tasks as needed based on daily prioritiesWhat We're Looking For:Minimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentAt least 1 year of maintenance experienceAbility to safely use hand tools, power tools, lawn equipment, snow blowers, carpet cleaners, and buffersBasic electrical and painting skillsMust be able to obtain/maintain a clear MVR and have a valid driver's licensePhysical RequirementsThis role requires regular physical activity, including:Standing, walking, lifting, carrying, bending, and kneelingLifting up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionallyWorking in indoor and outdoor environments depending on the propertyTravelDaily or weekly travel between local Salvation Army properties is required using agency vehicles.Why Work for The Salvation Army?Mission-driven, supportive team environmentMeaningful work that helps transform livesOpportunities to learn a wide variety of maintenance skillsCompetitive pay and stable scheduleReady to Apply?If you're reliable, self-motivated, and enjoy hands-on work that truly makes an impact, we'd love to meet you.Apply today and help us continue "Doing the Most Good."The Salvation Army is committed to caring for those who care for others.
