Registered Nurse (RN)

Overview Facility: MediLodge of Wyoming, 2786 56th St SW, Wyoming, MI 49418, USA. Position: Registered Nurse Starting wages: $43.90 - $56.40 per hour, adjustable by experience, shift and incentive programs. Shift: All shifts available. Key Responsibilities Initiates and leads team conferences to develop individualized nursing care plans. Assesses and documents residents’ conditions and nursing needs. Accurately and promptly implements physicians’ orders. Assigns nursing care to team members based on residents’ needs and staff capabilities. Supervises, directs, and evaluates LPNs, LVNs, and CNAs. Administers medications, starts IVs, performs treatments, and documents compliance with company and regulatory requirements. Participates in orientation and in‑service training for personnel. Assists physicians with special tests and procedures within the scope of the state Nursing Practice Act. Ensures supplies are used economically and equipment is clean and maintained. Reports and records observations and reactions concerning residents. Coordinates nursing care when residents are scheduled for therapy or procedures by other departments. Interviews applicants, recommends hires, and participates in counseling, disciplinary action, and termination of staff, to the extent permitted by the state practice act. Supervises the nursing unit, including scheduling and directing nursing staff, to the extent permitted by the state practice act. Performs other tasks as assigned. Qualifications Education : Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing. Licenses/Certification : Valid RN license in the state of employment; valid CPR certification. Experience : One year of nursing experience preferred. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities : Skilled in directing and motivating the workforce; works cooperatively as part of a team; communicates effectively with residents, families, and all organizational levels; reacts decisively in emergencies; knowledgeable of training techniques for clinical staff; maintains confidentiality.
