We are partnering with a well-established manufacturing organization to identify an experienced Purchasing Manager to lead purchasing, inventory, storeroom operations, and logistics for a large production facility.

What You'll Do

• Lead all plant purchasing activities for maintenance, operations, and production materials
• Manage purchasing, logistics, and storeroom operations to ensure critical parts and supplies are available when needed
• Develop and strengthen relationships with existing suppliers while identifying new sourcing and cost-saving opportunities
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and supplier agreements
• Improve inventory accuracy, organization, and overall storeroom efficiency
• Partner closely with Maintenance and Operations to support preventive maintenance initiatives and minimize downtime
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of buyers, logistics personnel, and storeroom employees
• Monitor purchasing metrics, inventory levels, and vendor performance to drive continuous improvement
• Work collaboratively across departments to support plant objectives while maintaining strong internal and external communication

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent purchasing and supply chain experience
• Progressive purchasing leadership experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Experience managing buyers, inventory, or storeroom operations
• Strong vendor negotiation and supplier relationship management skills
• Experience supporting maintenance and plant operations through effective procurement practices
• ERP system experience required; Oracle, JD Edwards, or similar systems are highly preferred
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
• Experience working in a union manufacturing environment is a plus
• Comfortable being a visible, hands-on leader who enjoys spending time on the production floor
