Sales & Growth Manager

We're hiring our first dedicated Sales & Growth lead to own the day-to-day responsibilities of our high-performing new business team. You'll lead our new business process end-to-end, building the strategic approach to the hardest challenges these organizations face, and defining partnerships that set our creative, engineering, and experience strategy teams up to do that transformative work successfully. Responsibilities Sales leadership and pipeline: Own the new business pipeline and CRM (HubSpot): qualification, prioritization, forecasting, and regular reporting on pipeline health to executive leadership. Establish and hit achievable sales goals year over year, growing both new business and expansion revenue from existing clients (in partnership with our Client Services team). Grow connections and proactively expand Wide Eye's new business relationships and opportunities. Drive our outbound approach and partner on marketing and thought leadership efforts that build the pipeline. Proposals and pitches: Run the proposal process end to end — writing, scoping, budget development, and production. Write exceptional proposals and think creatively about how to use structure and creative layout to deliver a message. Comfortable working in (and learning) design tools like Figma Slides and partnering with designers to create templates, case studies, and more. Manage a confident, winning pitch process: bring together the right team for each opportunity with clear expectations, assignments, and clarity on how to show up. Lead pitches and presentations to win new business, confidently presenting big conceptual ideas to executives and larger groups, asking the right questions, and setting a tone that carries forward into a successful project. Identify client requirements and collaborate with practice leads to shape solutions, scopes, and budgets our teams understand and endorse. Negotiate contracts and project amendments on behalf of the company. Ways of working: Pursue and land projects that fit with our team’s values and capabilities, working closely with the internal team to assess feasibility throughout the sales process. Partner with and serve as direct manager for our Sales & Growth Associate, building and refining our process together. Work AI‑natively. From research to proposal workflows — and you'll help us refine our process and the strength of our proposals, while retaining our craft‑forward, strategy‑driven approach to sales. Collaborate with the Executive Team on positioning, pricing strategy, and growth priorities. Partner with client services leadership to spot opportunities to grow, strengthen, and retain client relationships. Handoffs to the team: Ensure a smooth handoff of every won project from sale to delivery, onboarding project teams to the client, the scope, and the story of how we got here. Support the project management and creative teams in gaining an in-depth understanding of each client’s needs and their expectations of our work together. Communicate effectively with internal teams to set expectations and ensure what we sold is what we deliver. Secondary responsibilities: Maintain a strong awareness of the practices of other agencies, as well as the campaigns and organizations we serve. Help define, evangelize, and measure Wide Eye’s core value as a creative agency for good. Exemplify culture, values, and principles for the broader Wide Eye team. Help recruit and shape the Sales and Growth team as it grows. Support and attend industry events and conferences, participate in relevant online communities, and generally evangelize our Wide Eye team wherever possible. Experience / Qualifications 3+ years running or holding a senior role in business development or sales at a creative, digital, or comms/marketing agency, with a demonstrated process for pipelines, proposals, and pitches. Track record of personally writing and winning proposals for six-to-seven‑figure creative and digital engagements. Able to speak credibly to creative, engineering, and strategy practices in equal measure. Outstanding writing skills; confident in Figma and modern proposal tooling. Proven negotiation skills and ability to build strong interpersonal relationships with clients and leadership. Strong EQ; able to multitask, prioritize, and perform in a fast‑paced, high‑impact environment. Comfort working with AI tools as a core part of the sales workflow. Highly creative and resourceful—brings solutions and finds a way to "yes". Growth This is the first senior role in our Sales and Growth department, with one direct report and the encouragement to take big swings. As Wide Eye scales, this role grows with it — building out the team, shaping how we show up in our market, and deepening into agency leadership.
