Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Part Time Community Patrol in Durham, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will communicate professionally, respond to security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service. Pay Rate: $20.46 / Hour
Job Schedule:
DayTimeTue07:00 AM - 03:00 PMFri07:00 AM - 03:00 PMSun07:00 AM - 03:00 PMWhat You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, assisting with directions and access-related questions.
- Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity accurately and report security-related concerns to site leadership and/or emergency responders.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
- Have customer service experience, preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
