Bookkeeper

Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing accounts payable functions, payroll, and core bookkeeping tasks, ensuring the overall accuracy of our financial records. Key Responsibilities Accounts Payable: Manage full-cycle accounts payable functions, including receiving vendor bills, verifying charges, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining strong vendor relationships. Accounts Receivable: Oversee AR and invoicing functions and staff member(s). Payroll & HR Support: Process accurate payroll, including calculating commissions, tracking time-off, ensuring compliance with tax filings, and managing employee onboarding/offboarding processes. General Bookkeeping: Perform bank reconciliations, maintain the general ledger, and execute data entry for journal entries, debits, and credits using QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise. Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements, to support internal decision-making. Financial Compliance: Ensure compliance with GAAP standards and maintain current records for insurance and tax regulation audits. Tax: Coordinate with CPA, tax preparer and regulatory agencies. Insurance: Coordinate with the insurance provider. Collaboration: Coordinate with the Accounts Receivable Specialist to ensure seamless billing and collections; provide cross-functional support as needed. Required Experience and Skills Experience: Proven experience in bookkeeping, accounts payable, and payroll processing. Technical Proficiency: Extensive knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise and spreadsheet software (Excel/Google Sheets). HR/Benefits: Experience with HR software (e.g., Paylocity) and benefits administration is a plus. Analytical Skills: Strong ability to perform account analysis and reconciliation with high precision. Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external vendors.
