Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess an active OH RRT license and be able to obtain NRP certification prior to the start date. This position involves working with a variety of patient populations, including adults, geriatrics, and pediatrics, in a high-risk environment. The role requires versatility as floating to multiple facilities within the metro region is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Provide general and critical respiratory care to patients, including medication delivery and airway management.
• Assist in pediatric and Peds ER patient care as needed, ensuring comfort with all age groups.
• Conduct blood gas sampling and analysis and manage spontaneous breathing parameters.
• Respond to rapid responses and emergency codes, including performing CPR.
• Participate in the management and weaning of invasive and non-invasive ventilation.
• Maintain indwelling lines and perform necessary suctioning procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of acute care experience required.
• Must have current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and OH RRT licenses in hand.
• Experience with ventilators (BiPAP, CPAP) and nebulizers required.
• Comfortable performing intubation assists and foam management.
• Epic charting experience is required.
