About the Position

Job Title: MRI Technologist Profession: MRI Tech Specialty: MRI Tech Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Sunday-Thursday Hours per Shift: 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM Experience: Two (2) years' experience License: NY Rad Tech license (must be willing to obtain) Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association ONLY) Must-Have: GE scanner experience Must-Have: Injection certification Description: We are seeking an MRI Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have an associate degree in magnetic resonance imaging or radiology. Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is preferred. Candidates must be able to operate the MRI machine efficiently. You should be capable of making patients feel comfortable before and during the scanning procedure. Coordination with physicians is essential to ensure timely receipt of results. Familiarity with medical terminology is required. Candidates should be able to stand for extended periods. Duties and responsibilities include maintaining a clean and safe scanning facility. You will coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging. Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel comfortable. Inserting IVs may be necessary for certain tests. Document all procedures while maintaining patient confidentiality. Perform patient care tasks as needed.
