Overview
Stony Point Center , owned and operated by PC(USA) for over 40 years, is located in the scenic Hudson River Valley, 45 minutes northwest of New York City in beautiful upstate New York. It rests on 30 acres of nature, gardens and farmland with a meditation space, labyrinth and art space to help guests explore faith, creativity, community and leadership building.

Position Purpose:
To lead and supervise the group reservations process from inquiry through post-stay, ensuring strong sales performance, accurate booking operations, and a high-quality, mission-aligned guest experience.
Roles and Responsibilities:
The following represent the essential roles and responsibilities of this position, listed in order of importance. This and all positions in SPC support and encourage the purpose and values of PL&W in attitude, work ethic, behaviors, and relationships:
- Serve as a primary reservations specialist when groups are ready to book.
- Supervise Reservations team- Assist in the hiring, training, supervision the of Reservations department employees, scheduling and supervising them so that they reach their fullest potential while achieving performance objectives and meeting department standards.
- Track sales and meet monthly sales goals. This includes monitoring, encouraging, and facilitating the life cycle of a group moving them from initial inquiries all the way through returning guests.
- Serve as a final set of eyes on each contract before it goes out for signatures, ensuring accuracy.
- Keep accurate guest group communication records (through contact log) to ensure all staff are on the same page. This includes training and holding staff accountable.
- Ensure phone calls and emails are returned/answered in a timely manner and with accurate information by staff, and stepping in for assistance when needed.
- Be kind, but firm when group leaders ask for exceptions to SPC booking policies: If grant exceptions, use judgement based on Stony Point Center guidelines, values, and mission.
- Track guest group planning progress to ensure they have a successful and smooth experience and with a desire to return, including continuing to improve the guest group experience by timely and independently problem-solving the issue or communicating with the Guest Services Manager to resolve it.
- Greet group planners upon arrival (when GM is not available) to welcome them and reiterate agreed-upon details.
- Interact with guests and staff to present Stony Point Center in a positive and hospitable way.
- Support front desk staff when needed to ensure smooth check-in and check-out with guest groups.
- Other duties as assigned by Guest Services Manager and Directors.
Requirements:
- Minimum of associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- 5+ years’ experience in a similar position
- Demonstrated computer skills—especially word and excel
- Must be well-spoken, as well as sensitive to guest & staff needs.
- Able to understand, create and execute effective plans.
- Outgoing and friendly.
- Great attention to detail.
- Ability to be flexible and stay calm during busy times.
- Works well with others.
- Embraces diversity.

- Proficiency in both English and Spanish language is very helpful

Physical Requirements:

- Work both inside and outside; bulk of work is performed at front desk.
- Hours may include some weekends and evenings.
