Job Title: Customer Service Representative Job Description

We are seeking a Customer Service Representative to support a growing manufacturing operation. This individual will serve as the primary liaison between customers and the production team, ensuring orders move efficiently through the manufacturing process while providing excellent customer service. This is a fast-paced role that requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Once trained, the successful candidate will be expected to work independently and take ownership of customer requests, order tracking, and reporting activities.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email.
• Provide order status, lead time, and delivery updates.
• Track and maintain Work-In-Progress (WIP) reports.
• Coordinate expedited orders with production supervisors.
• Communicate customer requirements and priority changes to internal teams.
• Create and distribute reports using Excel and business systems.
• Generate customer quotes from established pricing.
• Monitor production schedules and follow up on open orders.
• Support trade show coordination and customer survey requests.
• Maintain accurate customer and order records.

Essential Skills

• Strong customer service experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize competing tasks.
• Strong organizational and follow-through skills.
• Self-starter capable of working independently.
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, customer support, order management, or production environments is a plus.
• QuickBooks experience is helpful but not required.

Work Environment

This role is on-site in Kennebunk, ME, working Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. It is a 3-4 month contract-to-hire position.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
