A hospital outpatient pharmacy position is available for a licensed pharmacist in Redwood Valley, CA, offering an opportunity to work day shifts in a contract role starting ASAP for 16+ weeks. This role involves ensuring the accurate filling and verification of prescriptions, supervising pharmacy technicians, and counseling patients on prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) medications to support optimal patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fill and verify prescriptions accurately and efficiently
• Provide oversight and guidance to pharmacy technicians
• Counsel patients on prescription and OTC medications, addressing questions and promoting safe medication use
• Utilize Cerner electronic medical records system to manage prescriptions and patient information

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid California pharmacist license is required
• Some retail pharmacy experience is preferred to navigate patient interactions and workflow effectively
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
• Familiarity with outpatient pharmacy operations is beneficial
• Competency in using Cerner is ideal

• Day shifts, hours to be confirmed during the hiring process

Location:

• Redwood Valley, CA area with assignments primarily at outpatient pharmacy settings
