About Redeemer's Auto

Redeemer's Auto is seeking an A-Level Automotive Technician in Houston, TX to handle advanced diagnostics and major mechanical repairs on all makes and models, including diesel vehicles. This position pays $36–$45 per flagged hour through a hybrid flat-rate plan with a 30-hour weekly guarantee. Technicians benefit from a steady workflow, ongoing weekly training, paid time off, paid holidays, and a health stipend. The shop has 10 bays, 5 lifts, and uses Tekmetric for shop management and Digital Vehicle Inspections.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform advanced automotive diagnostics and identify the repairs needed to resolve vehicle concerns.
• Complete major engine and transmission repairs, including engine and transmission replacement.
• Perform cylinder head and head gasket repairs, timing belt replacement, and related timing component repairs.
• Complete repairs independently from diagnosis through final completion.
• Perform and document Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVI) using Tekmetric.
• Service and repair a variety of makes and models, including diesel vehicles.
• Maintain productivity while delivering consistent, quality workmanship.
• Collaborate with the shop team to support an efficient, steady workflow.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated advanced automotive diagnostic experience.
• Experience performing engine and transmission replacements.
• Experience with head gasket, cylinder head, timing belt, and timing component repairs.
• Ability to complete advanced mechanical repairs independently from diagnosis through completion.
• Experience performing Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVI).
• Strong computer skills and the ability to work effectively with digital shop processes.
• Must have the tools required to perform the assigned automotive diagnostic and repair work.
• ASE certifications are a plus.
