Requirements:
- At least 2 years of laboratory experience.
- Familiarity with Meditech preferred.
- ASCP certification preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Match computer orders with specimen labels, sort specimens, and check deliveries.
- Maintain quality results by running standards and controls.
- Verify equipment functionality with routine maintenance.
- Assist in staff training as a technical resource.
- Alert supervisory personnel of any abnormal patient conditions.
- Conduct tests to identify the presence or number of drugs in patient samples.
- Operate chemistry equipment to provide diagnostic test results.
- Perform blood typing, antibody screening, and compatibility testing.
- Contribute to a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
- Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
