Communications Assistant

Position Summary The Communications Assistant will support the North Carolina Botanical Garden, which includes public display gardens, community gardens, natural areas, educational programming, therapeutic horticulture, scientific research, and fundraising. The role involves creating graphics, assisting with social media and website updates, producing flyers, signage, and other print and digital publications, writing articles and other content, and helping with photography of events, garden scenes, and specific plants. A driving record check will be conducted as part of the hiring process. Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. Management Preferences Experience creating social media posts and assets. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite. Photography skills. Proficiency with graphic design and journalism.
