Job Title: Communications Specialist Location: Research Triangle Park, NC Duration: 12 Months remote • Minimum- 20 hours /week Role Overview This is a hands-on marketing communications content development and strategic positioning role to drive branding efforts for market awareness. This is a globally focused role within the agriculture industry to enhance customer awareness while educating a wide array of external corporate customers, individual consumers, research scientists, external stakeholders, and internal stakeholder audiences. Demonstrating your experience in managing the development and execution of integrated programs comprised of digital marketing, public/media relations, advertising, educational tools, sales and technical materials, along with other marketing communications tactics, you will manage the deployment and measurement of a variety of communications initiatives. Primary Responsibilities Leverage stakeholder relationships to craft strategic messaging for various audiences. Update and manage internal digital materials and platforms (Intranet, SharePoint). Recommend and implement crisis communications tactics. Create marketing and promotional materials, both print and electronic. Copyedit, proofread, and revise an array of communications materials for cohesive messaging. Maintain website updates for branding and operation. Develop and carry out marketing communications campaigns. Create and deliver public relations materials, including press releases, media relations content, case studies, white papers, executive bios, and newsletter content. Research media coverage and industry trends Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or a related field. A minimum of 4 years’ experience in communications. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines. Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office and related business and communication tools. Content writing experience for all media platforms. Proven social media expertise and strong knowledge of social media platforms and engagement strategies. Excellent project and time management skills. Meticulous attention to detail.
