Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing standardized assessments accompanied by keen observational skills.
• Craft tailored treatment plans that cater to both immediate objectives and longer-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions emphasizing language, communication, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
• Engage in a collaborative approach with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and family members to formulate cohesive strategies for patient care.
• Provide educational resources to patients and families to reinforce progress during non-clinical hours.
• Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring a seamless continuum of care through each stage of treatment.
• Keep meticulous records that abide by state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Pursue ongoing education and professional development by staying abreast of current advancements in the field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a clinically supervised Fellowship Year (CFY) is required if not ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
