Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing standardized assessments and observational strategies.
• Create individualized treatment strategies that address both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
• Deliver personalized one-on-one speech therapy interventions that focus on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills.
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families, ensuring cohesive care strategies.
• Educate patients and families to enhance ongoing progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Occasionally assist with inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, promoting comprehensive care throughout the treatment process.
• Maintain detailed and timely documentation according to state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Stay updated with advancements in the field through continuous education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Fulfillment of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days post-employment.
