Description

American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist for an orthopedic surgery role requiring a minimum of 3 years of recent hospital OR experience

Details

• Hospital operating room setting within the orthopedic service line
• Supports procedures including total joint arthroplasties (hip, knee, shoulder, ankle), fracture repair, arthroscopic and sports medicine cases
• Five weekday shifts scheduled from 06:45 to 15:15, with occasional early case starts requiring arrival by 5:45 am
• May be required to float to other surgical services based on department needs
• Participates in call coverage after normal business hours and on weekends
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of recent full-time experience as a surgical technologist in a high-volume hospital setting required
• Demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of orthopedic surgical procedures required
• Must be able to function independently in a fast-paced surgical environment with minimal onboarding
• Verifiable references from at least two prior travel assignments confirming no additional training was needed
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• License required if applicable
• Current license and primary source verification within 30 days prior to assignment start required for licensed professionals

Additional Information

• Provide surgical support for a full range of orthopedic procedures in a fast-paced, high-volume OR
• Candidates should be prepared to hit the ground running with little to no orientation period
• Radius rule applies; local candidates may be accepted at a reduced rate depending on facility location
• US Social Security Number and US home address required for consideration
• Candidates should discuss possible extension with their manager at least 45 days before the assignment end date
