Director Of Human ResourcesThe Director of Human Resources is responsible for leading and executing the Firm's HR strategy while managing the day-to-day HR function. This role serves as a trusted advisor to Partners and Managers, ensuring alignment between business objectives and people strategy. The ideal candidate brings a balance of strategic leadership, operational execution, and strong employee relations experience, with a solid understanding of the unique dynamics of a public accounting environment, including seasonal workloads and partner-driven structures.What You'll Do:Partner with Firm leadership to develop and execute HR strategies that support internal and external growth, retention, and operational efficiencyProvide guidance to Partners and Managers on workforce planning and performance managementLead initiatives related to employee engagement, culture, and retentionServe as the primary resource for employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, investigations, and disciplinary actionsAdvise managers on performance concerns, documentation, and improvement plansEnsure consistent and fair application of Firm policiesOversee recruiting strategy for all positions, including experienced hires, campus recruiting and internshipsPartner with department leaders to identify hiring needs and improve time-to-fill and candidate qualityEnsure a structured and effective onboarding experienceManage and evaluate the Firm's compensation structure, including salary benchmarking and bonus programsOversee benefits administration and vendor relationshipsProvide recommendations to leadership on total rewards strategyEnsure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulationsMaintain and update employee handbook and HR policiesManage risk related to employee matters and advise leadership on best practicesOversee HR processes including payroll coordination, employee records, and HRIS systems (Paychex, etc.)Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and consistencyDevelop and track key HR metrics (turnover, retention, hiring, etc.)Support leadership development initiatives for Managers and emerging leadersIdentify training needs and coordinate internal or external learning opportunitiesPromote a culture of continuous improvement and professional growthWhat You'll Have:Required:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership roleStrong knowledge of employment law and HR best practicesDemonstrated experience in employee relations and conflict resolutionExperience managing HR operations in a small to mid-sized organizationPreferred:Experience in public accounting, professional services, or similar environmentHR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR)Experience working in a partner-led or privately held firmWhy This Role Matters:This position plays a critical role in shaping the Firm's culture, supporting its people, and ensuring the infrastructure is in place to sustain growth.
