Account Executive
Nashville has a new home team, UPSHOT Nashville, and we are looking for entrepreneurial professionals to join our history making organization as we prepare for the inaugural season and Nashville's big debut on the professional women's basketball national stage. UPSHOT Nashville, based in Nashville, TN, is seeking a high-energy, results-driven Account Executive to help build and engage our fan base in the Nashville / Middle Tennessee region. This role serves as a primary ambassador for the organization building relationships with fans, businesses, schools, and community organizations while helping grow attendance and long-term supporter engagement. As a key member of our sales team, you will generate excitement and drive revenue by selling full and partial season ticket packages, group outings, and partnerships to individuals and businesses. This role also includes servicing current ticket holders and ensuring their experience exceeds expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Make 70+ outbound contacts daily via phone, email, text, and in-person to sell:
- Full and partial season ticket packages
- Group tickets
- Individual game tickets
- Entry-level corporate partnerships
- Handle inbound calls and inquiries for ticket sales and customer service.
- Actively prospect new business through networking, referrals, social platforms, and research
- Conduct in-person sales presentations, arena tours, and off-site appointments.
- Staff sales tables and community events to promote ticket packages and drive leads.
- Maintain detailed records of all interactions using CRM software.
- Meet or exceed weekly and monthly individual sales goals.
- Assist in the renewal process and servicing of existing accounts.
- Build lasting relationships with clients through exceptional service and communication.
- Perform all other duties assigned by the leadership group.
Game & Event Responsibilities:
- Expected to attend and work all UPSHOT Nashville events as required
- Interact with clients and prospects at games via seat visits, networking, and sales tables.
- Assist with the development and execution of in-game promotions and fan experiences.
Qualifications:
- A passion for the sports industry and a strong desire to grow professionally.
- Willingness to learn, be coached, and maintain a positive attitude.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Willingness to work non-traditional hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Exemplify the core characteristics of a strong sales culture, including strong interpersonal skills, prompt and professional follow-through, openness to new ideas and suggestions, and constant enthusiasm toward internal and external contacts.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with all internal and external contacts.
- Support a positive sales culture within the sales team, as well as the entire front office.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, LinkedIn, and CRM (Salesforce) systems preferred.
Company Support & Resources: UPSHOT Nashville will provide:

The successful candidate will be provided 2 to 4 weeks of paid training at The Upshot League Headquarters in Jacksonville, Florida.
About UPSHOT Nashville:
Nashville UPSHOT LLC owns and operates the Nashville Expansion Team of The UPSHOT League – a new Professional Women's Basketball League based in Jacksonville, FL. The League includes UPSHOT Nashville, Jacksonville WAVES, Greensboro Groove, Charlotte Crown, Savannah Steel, and UPSHOT Baltimore. UPSHOT Nashville was founded in 2025 by Deloitte veteran, UPSHOT League Co-Founder and UPSHOT Nashville Managing Partner, Lead Investor, and Board Chair Mark Walsh. The team is managed day-to-day by Team President and CEO Nancy VanReece.
