SavATree is seeking a dedicated Crew Lead Tree Climber to join its General Tree Care Team. This role involves performing high-quality tree care services, including pruning, removals, and cabling, while applying expertise in climbing and safety. As a Crew Lead, you will also take on additional responsibilities guiding a team in ensuring the health and beauty of clients' landscapes.

What You'll Do

• Perform high-quality tree care services, including pruning, removals, and cabling.
• Climb trees safely using proper techniques and specialized equipment.
• Operate chainsaws, aerial lifts, and other essential tree care equipment effectively.
• Apply ANSI A300 Pruning Standards and ANSI Z safety practices in all tasks.
• Assist in tree removals, utilizing ropes and spikes for safe takedowns.
• Identify hazards and perform safety checks before, during, and after each job.
• Perform aerial rescues and maintain strong communication with team members and clients.
• Take ownership of your role, contributing to a positive, safety-focused team culture.

What We're Looking For

• Valid U.S. driver's license (CDL preferred) and legal work authorization.
• Passion for working outdoors and commitment to environmental stewardship.
• Proficiency in proper pruning techniques for various tree types, including large shade trees.
• Strong knowledge of tree and shrub species and their characteristics.
• Comfortable climbing without spurs and skilled in adhering to tree care safety standards.
• Experience operating chainsaws, aerial lifts, and other essential tree care equipment.
• Expertise in proper pruning cuts, branch collars, and chainsaw operations for trees up to 50 feet.
• Familiarity with ANSI A300 Pruning Standards and ANSI Z safety guidelines.
• Ability to perform aerial rescues and apply various climbing techniques.
• Capable of frequently lifting up to 50 pounds and performing aerial work in varying conditions.
