Product Engineer

Title : Product Engineer (level I or Ii) depending on their level of experience.

Salary : 90k-100k

Report to : Engineering Manager

Team : Small team of 4 individuals

Automotive Experience: Candidates must have direct experience as a product/project engineer working at a Tier-1 supplier or OEM.
Cross-Functional Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills with experience interfacing across OEM engineers, plant manufacturing, quality, etc.
OEM RFQs: Proven experience to read and decompose OEM RFQ packages into detailed engineering specifications (BOMs, Drawings, DVP, etc)
BOM Management: Direct experience creating, auditing, and maintaining multi-level BOMs. Knowledge of engineering materials is required, mainly metals and plastics.
CAD: Minimum of 2 years of mechanical design experience. Must be proficient enough to perform design reviews and direct internal CAD designers on models and drawings. Experience in CAD modeling and drawing creation is a plus.
GD&T: Working knowledge of GD&T to review designer drawings for correct tolerances and assembly stack-ups.
DVP&R Ownership: Experience in managing DVP&R documentation and mapping OEM test standards into validation plans.
Engineering Change Management: Experience processing formal engineering changes
