Location: Newark, NJ

Duration 6 month contract

Schedule: M-F 9:30am - 6pm

• Service provided is patient centered

• Communicates clearly to ensure understanding

• Responds to complaints and concerns by resolving issues immediately whenever possible

• Organizes work process to accommodate customer needs, including internal customers and co-workers

• Acts as a role model for Service Excellence

• Maintains professional composure in the workplace

• Works effectively with team to ensure customer service scores for work area meet/exceed targets

• Demonstrates respect for patient rights

• Prepares food according to standardized recipes to produce quality products for end-users within time deadlines

• Maintains proper food handling and storage to comply with Federal, State and Local Health Regulations and all standards as set forth by The Joint Commission.

• Completes all Mise en place to ensure an efficient meal production process. Definition of Mise in Place: “Put in Place.” The preparation and assembly of ingredients, pans, utensils, and plates or serving pieces needed for a particular dish or service period

• Maintains work area in an organized, clean, and sanitary manner

• Properly uses knives, kitchen utensils and equipment in a safe manner

• Understands and adheres to University Hospital’s compliance standards as they appear in University Hospital’s Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy

• Keeps abreast of all pertinent federal, state and University Hospital regulations, laws, and policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified

• Performs other related duties as assigned

Pay Details: $20.00 per hour
