This position is to provide technical leadership in the planning, design, configuration, construction, commissioning, operations, and maintenance of gas and chemical (G&C) delivery equipment & systems, Gas Life Safety System (GLSS), & Pump & Abatement (P&A) units.Key Responsibilities:Oversee the operations, maintenance and safety of all G&C delivery systems, GLSS & P&A to ensure maximum uptimeCoordinate with 3rd party service providers to ensure proper maintenance of mechanical, electrical, fire life safety, process piping, and controls systemsMonitor 3rd party maintenance providers performance and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Coordinate with multiple groups (planning, construction, safety, G&C service provider, building owners, management, etc.) to meet project or service request requirement and minimize system downtime and business interruptionsRespond to business interruptions or internal customer escalationsPerform problem solving, troubleshooting, root cause analysis using 8D methodologyEnsure that all G&C, P&A and GLSS systems operate to design specificationsEvaluate system capacities and capabilities and make improvement recommendationsForecast budget spending and review supplier invoicesIdentify and conceptually scope safety, compliance, capacity, redundancy, and cost savings projectsObtain funding and manage projects per scope, schedule & budgetReview operation, maintenance, trouble shooting, project commissioning & acceptance, and other related documents for facilities systems; recommend and implement improvementsReview and approve building construction, fit-up and tool hook-up designsCoordinate with 3rd party hazardous waste management service provider to ensure safe handling and disposal of gas, liquid and solid wastesManage engineering & design team of instrumentation, controls and life safety system for multiple projects of varying complexityTake various levels of responsibility for, and participation in the development of, project scope, budget, and scheduleProvide technical direction to design engineers throughout the project conceptual design phase, interface with site user groups, other engineering disciplines, local municipalities and/or utilities, trade contractors, and other project stakeholders as requiredPerform conceptual instrumentation and controls (I&C) and Life Safety System analysis for multiple scenarios that can include high level schedule and/or budget development to help customers and stakeholders make critical business decisions based on time and cost constraintsDevelop effective process design deliverables to support all aspects of conceptual designEffectively interact with several internal engineering organizations to influence design standards, construction specifications, and operations requirements to ensure these enable construction to meet its Review and approve Chem Auth and MOCQualifications:Education:Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical / Chemical Engineering7 years of semiconductor or high purity hazardous gas facilities management experience; or equivalent experience of more than 10 years of semiconductor gas facilities managementAdditional qualifications include:Working experience as a facilities engineer in semiconductor manufacturing (wafer fab) facilities a strong plusIndustrial gas and chemical delivery experience or equivalentGas abatement and wastewater treatment systems experienceWorking knowledge of gas distribution system and PLC based controls systemsKnowledge of local Fire, Building and Environmental codesStrong analytical skills and knowledge of SPC, 8D, DMAIC, FMEA and other toolsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsTime Type: Full timeEmployee Type: Assignee / RegularTravel: Yes, 10% of the TimeRelocation Eligible: YesThe salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
