Job Opportunity: Pathologist

Our organization is in search of a full-time board-certified or board-eligible Pathologist with expertise in both Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.

The selected candidate will become part of a collaborative team consisting of six general, hospital-based Pathologists and two Pathology Assistants. This group is responsible for two community hospitals and several critical access facilities.

The workload includes a variety of cases such as biopsies, complex resections, and non-GYN cytology, with no GYN cytology involved. Responsibilities will also include providing frozen section coverage and attending fine needle aspirations to assess adequacy. Autopsies are infrequently conducted. While specific subspecialty training is not mandatory, experience in cytopathology or gastrointestinal pathology would be advantageous.

• Manage a diverse caseload of biopsies and complex resections.
• Provide frozen section coverage and participate in fine needle aspiration assessments.
• Collaborate with clinical colleagues and engage in clinical lab management.
• Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards.

• Must be board-certified or board-eligible.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• A commitment to fostering positive relationships with clinical teams is required.

This position is based in the Quad Cities, located along the Mississippi River, just minutes from the local airport.
