Join us in our mission to improve health and improve lives.LabCorp is seeking a Hospital Phlebotomist to join our team at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope, AL.Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 10:30pm - 7:00am and rotating SaturdaysJob Responsibilities:Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groupsCollect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely mannerProcess billing information and collect payments as necessaryPrepare all collected specimens for testing and analysisMaintain patient and specimen information logsProvide superior customer service to all patientsAdministrative and clerical duties as necessaryTravel to additional sites when neededMinimum Qualifications:High school diploma or GED or equivalentPhlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomistPreferred Qualifications:1 year or more of phlebotomy experience1 year or more of experience in a medical lab settingAdditional Job Standards:In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agencyProven track record in providing exceptional customer serviceStrong communication skills; both written and verbalAbility to work independently or in a team environmentComfortable working under minimal supervisionReliable transportationFlexibility to work overtimeAble to pass a standardized color blindness testAt LabCorp we have a passion for helping people live happy and healthy lives.
