Applicants should have experience in Form Carpentry, Rodbusting, Concrete finishing and related construction experience.Concrete FinishingSpread, level, and smooth concrete, using rake, shovel, hand or power trowel, hand or power screed, and float.Monitor how the wind, heat, or cold affect the various stages of the concrete throughout the entire process.Direct the casting of the concrete and supervise laborers who use shovels or special tools to spread it.Produce various final finishes on concrete surfaces based of job specific requirements, using rough/fine brooms or special groove rakes.Mold expansion joints and edges, using edging tools, jointers, and straightedge.Clean chipped area, using wire brush, feel and observe surface to determine if it is rough or uneven.Signal truck driver to position truck to facilitate pouring concrete and move chute to direct concrete on forms.Apply sealing compounds to cure surfaces on concrete.Operate power vibrator.Chip, scrape, and grind high spots, ridges, and rough projections to finish concrete, using pneumatic chisels, power grinders, or hand tools.Form CarpentryBuild and layout forms as required according to specifications.Saws lumber to blueprint dimensions, using handsaw or power saw, and nail lumber together to make forms.Erect built-in-place forms or assemblies and installs prefabricated forms on construction site according to blueprint specifications.Insert spreaders and tie rods between opposite faces of form to maintain specified dimensions.Anchor and brace forms to fixed objects, using nails, anchor rods, steel cables, planks, and timbersRodbustingPosition and secure steel bars, rods, cables, or mesh in concrete forms, using fasteners, rod-bending machines, blowtorches, or hand tools.Space and fasten together rods in forms according to instructions on tabletCut and fit wire mesh or fabric, using hooked rods, and position fabric or mesh in concrete to reinforce concrete.Must perform general laborer duties as needed.Experience:Construction Experience: 2 years (Required)License/Certification:TWICDISADriver's License (Preferred)Job Type: Full-time - Day Shift - 10hr shift Salary: $32.00 - $34.00 per hour Benefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid time offVision insurance
