Full-Time Cook

Children's Home Society of South Dakota is seeking a Full-Time Cook to prepare meals and snacks for residential, day students, and on-duty staff. As a leader in compassionate, trauma-informed care, Children's Home Society is committed to fostering equity and inclusion in all aspects of our work.

Minimum of $20.00+/hour (DOE)

• Fulfill menu requirements and serve meals.
• Wash pots and pans, trays, dishes, etc.
• Take out kitchen trash to outside trash bins.
• Cover, label and date all suitable leftovers for storage.
• Take and record food temperatures at mealtime.
• Maintain personal cleanliness, as well as cleanliness of the kitchen and storage areas.
• Take and record refrigerator, freezer and dishwashing machine temperatures.
• Attend team meetings as required.
• Participate in required in-service training.

Requirements

Required

• High school degree or GED required.

Preferred

• Some experience in quantity food production preferred.
