Key Responsibilities:

• Maintenance Coordination: Coordinate and schedule regular maintenance and repairs for all fleet vehicles.
• Vendor Management: Liaise with external vendors and service providers to ensure timely, quality, and cost-effective maintenance services.
• Inspections: Conduct routine inspections to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities, including costs and timelines.
• Compliance: Ensure all fleet vehicles comply with safety regulations and company policies.
• Invoice Payment: Audit and process payment of invoices for fleet services.
• Budget Management: Monitor and manage the maintenance budget, seeking cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
• Emergency Response: Respond to and manage emergency repair situations to minimize downtime.
• Reporting: Generate and present regular reports on fleet maintenance status and performance metrics.
• Technology: Leverage Telematics, Transportation Management Systems (TMS), and Fleet Maintenance software to coordinate and record activities.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in diesel maintenance is a preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in fleet maintenance or a related field.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency in vehicle maintenance and repair procedures, as well as familiarity with diagnostic tools and software.
• Experience with Class 8 Tractors, Tankers, and Dry Van trailers preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
• Ability to work collaboratively with drivers, mechanics, and other team members.
• Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with key stakeholders across the organization.
