Respiratory Care Practitioner II

Works under the supervision of the Manager of Respiratory Therapy. The RCP II's primary job function is to provide high quality respiratory care delivery to the SOMC patient population in accordance with hospital policy. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education:

High School Diploma or successful completion of an equivalent High School Exam Required

Graduate of a Respiratory Therapy program accredited by CoARC or other deemed accrediting body.

Licensure:

RT(OH) required

CRT required

BLS required within 90 days of hire required.

NRP required within 6 months of hire.

Experience:

Work and/or educational experience that promoted group/team working relations is preferred.

Minimum three years post graduate experience in the practice of respiratory care, two years specific to acute care delivery and one to two years of tertiary level respiratory care experience preferred.
