Laboratory Specimen Processor - Histology
Labcorp
Labcorp seeks a Laboratory Specimen Processor for histology work at a Milwaukee facility. The role involves receiving, processing, and preparing anatomic pathology specimens in a high-volume production environment, working Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM.
Responsibilities
- Receive, accessory, and process anatomic pathology specimens
- Prepare and load tissue processing runs; cut and stain frozen sections
- Perform routine maintenance on histology instrumentation
- Accurately identify, label, pack and ship specimens to testing facilities
- Enter patient data and resolve documented problem specimens
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Six months or more clinical or medical industry work experience
- Ability to handle biological specimens safely and accurately
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
- Pass standardized color blindness test
