Backed by advanced technology, lifecycle services and an industry-leading field organization, we elevate customer performance, turn goals into real-world results and help move society forwardRESPONSIBILITYThe Materials Flow Manager is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end movement of materials throughout the supply chain including outbound coordination with the offsite sub assembly production through inbound receiving at production facility and materials availability at the production line. This role ensures materials are available where and when needed, while minimizing inventory costs, maximizing efficiency, and supporting production and customer delivery goals.PRINCIPAL DUTIES:Materials Planning & Flow OptimizationDesign, implement, and continuously improve material flow processes across both facilitiesEnsure efficient movement of raw materials, WIP (work-in-progress), and finished goodsImplement lean principles to suggest inventory levels to support production without under/overstockingDrive system improvements to ensure tact time adherenceInventory ManagementAnalyze demand forecasts and production schedules to align material availabilityImplement best practice for material presentation to the production lineEstablish and enforce inventory control proceduresMonitor inventory turns, obsolete stock, and excess materialsWork in coordination with Purchasing Manager to reduce carrying costs while maintaining service levelsProduction SupportCollaborate with production, planning, and scheduling teams to ensure timely material availabilityIdentify and resolve material shortages or bottlenecksSupport lean manufacturing initiatives such as Kanban, pull systems, and just-in-time (JIT) processesLogistics & WarehousingOversee storage, and internal distribution of materialsOptimize materials storage and line side layout for efficiency and safetyManage inbound and internal logistics to reduce handling time and costsProcess Improvement & Lean InitiativesLead continuous improvement projects focused on flow, efficiency, and waste reductionApply lean principles and tools (e.g., value stream mapping, 5S, root cause analysis)Track and report KPIs such as on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, and lead timesDrive digitalization or automation initiatives where applicableSustainability and waste reduction focusTeam LeadershipLead, mentor, and develop materials, warehouse, and logistics team membersSet performance goals and monitor team productivityEnsure compliance with safety and operational standardsFoster a culture of accountability and continuous improvementQUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)5–10+ years of experience in materials management, logistics, or supply chain operations2+ years of leadership or supervisory experienceProficiency in ERP systems (AS400 preferred)Strong analytical skills with experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Demonstrated ability to lead process improvements and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.Ability to organize and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication and teamwork skillsHIRING SALARY RANGE: $89,000 - $134,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.)
