We have a career opportunity for a Staff Accountant to join our team. The firm provides tax planning and compliance services to businesses, individuals, trusts and estates, and non-profit organizations. Further, the firm provides assurance (audit) and accounting services to closely-held businesses, not-for-profit organizations, and retirement plans, among other industries.

Specific Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in public accounting preparing tax returns
• CPA license or CPA eligible
• Basic knowledge of accounting, auditing, and tax concepts
• Positive, professional attitude
• Willingness to share knowledge and assist others
• Display professional poise and demeanor
• The ability to work both independently and in teams
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent reasoning, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products
• Use of Lacerte for tax and Quickbooks
• Achieve firm standards of productivity and realization
• Understand nature of assignments; summarize assignment back to supervisor
• Document findings in a clear and concise manner
• Ability to use professional judgment and independent thinking
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality work product
• Strong organization skills; ability to multi-task
• Utilize feedback for constructive learning and prevent recurring feedback on the same matters
