LOCATION : KONA COMMUNITY HOSPITAL | Critical Care Float Pool POSITION STATUS: FTE: 90% | Permanent/Part-Time SALARY RANGE: BU09 | SR20 SALARY RATE: $96,519.60 (Annual Salary) based on the FTE JOB DUTIES: The Registered Professional Nurse coordinates nursing care for patients, participates in patient and family teaching and provides leadership by working cooperatively with other staff and departments in maintaining standards of nursing care; follows established policies, procedures or specific instructions. This position may be required to works shifts, weekends, and holidays. MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK SHIFTS AS NECESSARY BASED ON HOSPITAL OPERATIONS; SERVICES ARE PROVIDED 24/7. THE MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS ARE: Applicants must meet all of the following requirements. Please note that unless specifically indicated; the required education and experiences may not be gained concurrently. In addition, qualifying work experiences are based on a 40-hour work week. EDUCATION: Applicants must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing. NURSING EXPERIENCE: Six (6) months of professional nursing work experience. SUBSTITUTIONS ALLOWED: Possession of a master's degree from an accredited college or university school of nursing may be substituted for one year of nursing experience. QUALITY OF EXPERIENCE: Possession of the required number of years of experience will not in itself be accepted as proof of qualification for a position. The applicant's overall experience must have been of such scope and level of responsibility as to conclusively demonstrate that he/she has the ability to perform the duties of the position for which he/she is being considered.
LICENSE REQUIRED: License to practice as a professional nurse in the State of Hawaii.
For certain positions, possession of a motor vehicle operator's license is required. REQUIRED FORMS & DOCUMENTATION: Applicants must submit evidence of the appropriate training (e.g. official transcript or diploma and certifications) to be given credit for education.
