Senior Electrical Project Manager

Location: McAllen, Texas

Salary: $90,000 - $130,000 (DOE)

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Project Manager with extensive commercial electrical construction experience to lead complex projects, manage customer relationships, and provide oversight throughout the project lifecycle. This position requires a strong understanding of estimating, scheduling, contract management, design coordination, and field operations, along with the ability to manage multiple projects and lead project teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall project management and leadership for commercial electrical construction projects from preconstruction through completion.
• Lead multiple projects concurrently while maintaining control of schedules, budgets, documentation, and project requirements.
• Coordinate and provide direction to detailers, project teams, and electrical installation crews.
• Serve as a senior point of contact for customers, addressing project needs and resolving issues in a timely manner.
• Oversee project documentation, including contract drawings, RFIs, ASIs, submittals, change documentation, and related records.
• Develop and coordinate construction schedules with customers, field teams, and internal departments.
• Oversee project billing, pay applications, and financial requirements.
• Participate in contract negotiations and help manage contractual obligations throughout the project.
• Lead and monitor the submittal approval process to ensure projects remain on schedule.
• Act as the primary liaison between design, estimating, operations, field personnel, and customers.
• Lead estimating efforts, develop project quotes, and assist with project strategy and scope development.
• Conduct field measurements, site visits, and coordination meetings as required.
• Identify project risks, scheduling concerns, and operational challenges and develop solutions.
• Establish and improve project management practices, procedures, and processes.
• Provide leadership and guidance to project personnel and help ensure consistent execution across projects.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
• Perform other duties related to senior project management, estimating, operations, and commercial electrical construction as required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of construction estimating experience required.
• Extensive commercial electrical construction project management experience.
• Strong knowledge of estimating, scheduling, contract administration, design coordination, and field installation.
• Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work directly with customers, field personnel, design teams, and company leadership.
• Ability to reliably commute to McAllen, TX, or willingness to relocate.
