BENEFITS we offer: + $1000 Sign on Bonus + 3 weeks paid vacation within 1 st year + 9paid holidays + 100% Employee Owned + Employee Stock Ownership Program ~Employer funded with an average retirement contribution of up to $4 per hour + 401K Retirement Fund - Additional opportunity for employee to contribute + Employee Assistance Program + Opportunity for advancement + Training and development + Employee Material Purchase Program WHAT THIS ROLE WILL BE DOING: Duties to include, but not limited to: Consistently demonstrate and incorporate principals of safety Pick and pack to ensure all orders are pulled and packaged properly to be loaded Ensure all orders are loaded properly on the correct trailer and all the paperwork is complete so the orders can ship Develop and maintain a clean, safe working environment and ensure participation in safety programs and required trainings Sort and move product interdepartmentally while operating and using a variety of material handling equipment, including, but not limited to, forklift, RF unit (hand-held), etc. Perform all duties in a manner that promotes team concept and encourages team effort Perform other duties assigned that would lead to successful operation of department, team, and/or company mission Distribution Material Handler Demonstrates: Adherent to attendance policy and ability to work a flexible schedule within reason Ability to work on assigned tasks while portraying excellent teamwork mentality Problem solving skills and innovative solutions Dynamic self-motivation Ability to maintain positive moral within the workforce Ensure inventory integrity Education / Experience: High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience Warehouse hand-held ERP technology experience a plus but not required - training will be provided Forklift certification/prior warehouse experience a plus but not required – training will be provided Working Demands / Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds Ability to stand, bend, and walk for long periods of time Reports to: Distribution Manager/ Assistant Distribution Manager/ Supervisor Conclusion: The Distribution Material Handler will exemplify the high standards that have come to be associated with WSC.
