The Accounting Assistant plays a crucial standalone role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the overall accounting operations. Reporting directly to the Office Manager, this position involves managing a variety of tasks including record keeping, reconciliation, and financial reporting using a combination of software tools and manual processes. The role requires meticulous attention to detail to ensure smooth month-end and year-end closing, payroll submission, and benefits management without any travel requirements.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate accounting records and run monthly financial reports and statements
- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly
- Manage and reconcile trust accounts
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Monitor cash flow to ensure financial stability
- Manage employer-offered benefits
- Submit pay records for payroll processing
