Our relentless drive for excellence ensures we stay ahead of the curve and continue meeting the evolving needs of our customers.The Quality Control Technician is responsible for inspecting and verifying the quality of bar-gun handles during the secondary machining process. This role ensures all aspects meet engineering specifications, dimensional tolerances, and functional requirements prior to final assembly. The position is critical in preventing defects, supporting production efficiency, and maintaining Wunder-Bar's quality standards. The work schedule for this role is Monday through Friday 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM.Main Responsibilities:Perform in-process and final inspections of bar-gun following secondary machining operations (e.g., drilling, tapping, reaming, deburring, polishing).Verify dimensional accuracy using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and fixtures.Inspect surface finishes, threading, and critical features to ensure compliance with engineering drawings and specifications.Conduct functional checks on machined components to confirm proper fit and performance requirements.Identify, document, and report non-conforming handles; ensure proper segregation and disposition.Collaborate with machining, production, and engineering teams to troubleshoot defects and implement corrective actions.Assist with first article inspections and in-process audits to validate machining setups and process consistency.Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation in accordance with company procedures.Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing scrap, rework, and variation in machining processes.Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and operational standards, including proper handling of materials and equipment.Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school training preferred.1–3 years of experience in quality control within a machining or manufacturing environment.Strong understanding of secondary machining processes and tolerancing.Proficiency in using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, pin gauges, etc.).Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) preferred.Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.Benefits:Competitive salary and benefits package.Opportunities for professional growth and development.Collaborative and innovative work environment.Health, dental, and vision insurance.Retirement savings plan.Paid time off and holidays.Physical & Mental Requirements:Ability to stand for extended periods and work on the production floor.Ability to lift up to 40 lbs occasionally.Manual dexterity to operate machinery and precision tools.Ability to safely operate machinery and tools.Work Environment:Manufacturing and machine shop environment.Exposure to noise, moving mechanical parts, and industrial materials.Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE).California Employment Compliance:This position complies with all applicable California labor laws, including wage and hour laws, anti-discrimination protections, and workplace safety requirements.Employees in California are entitled to meal and rest breaks as mandated by state law.This role complies with the California Fair Pay Act, ensuring equal pay for substantially similar work.Reasonable accommodations will be provided to qualified individuals with disabilities as required under the California Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA).All personal employee data is handled in accordance with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
