Production Technician IThe Production Technician I supports manufacturing operations by assisting with machine operation, quality inspections, material handling, and product preparation. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals with strong mechanical aptitude who are eager to learn advanced manufacturing processes, maintain quality standards, and contribute to a safe and efficient production environment.ResponsibilitiesSupport daily production activities and machine operation under supervision.Perform hourly machine checks and identify potential production issues.Conduct quality inspections and identify defects to ensure product compliance.Package, label, wrap, and stage materials for production.Load and unload products and materials safely and efficiently.Assist with machine setup, operation, and basic troubleshooting.Follow production procedures, work instructions, and safety protocols.Handle materials and lift up to 55 lbs. as needed.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.Support continuous improvement initiatives and production goals.Perform general production duties including mixing, compounding, assembly, packing, and inspection.Communicate equipment, safety, and production concerns to leads and supervisors.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Previous manufacturing, production, assembly, or general labor experience preferred.Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to learn production equipment.Basic math skills, including measurements and unit conversions.Basic computer skills.High attention to detail and commitment to quality.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. and stand for extended periods.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Reliable attendance with flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or alternate shifts as needed.Preferred ExperienceManufacturing or production environment experience.Composite materials, mixing, compounding, or material processing.Quality inspection and defect identification.Machine operation and troubleshooting.Packaging, labeling, and material handling.GMP or regulated manufacturing environments.Safe use of hand tools and production equipment.This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fairfield, CA. The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.15/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
