Role Description The Accounts Payable Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Azusa, California This role is responsible for processing vendor invoices, verifying accuracy, and ensuring timely payments in accordance with company policies. Day-to-day tasks include managing expense reports, coding and entering invoices, reconciling statements, and preparing journal entries related to accounts payable. The specialist will collaborate with internal teams and vendors to resolve discrepancies, support month-end closing activities, and maintain organized financial records. The role also involves monitoring compliance with accounting standards and contributing to continuous improvements in payable processes. Qualifications Strong Accounting and Finance knowledge, including familiarity with basic accounting principles. Experience with Expense Reports and related accounts payable documentation and processing. Ability to prepare and review Journal Entries (Accounting) for accuracy and completeness. Demonstrated Analytical Skills for reviewing invoices, identifying discrepancies, and supporting reconciliations. Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office (especially Excel). High attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities. Effective written and verbal communication skills for working with vendors and internal teams. Prior experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role; relevant coursework or degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is beneficial.
