Experienced Automotive Service Advisor

Experienced Automotive Service Advisor

You know what a great service advisor brings to a shop. So do we. The ability to turn a complicated repair into a clear conversation. The confidence to present an estimate and ask for the sale. The follow-through that keeps customers informed, technicians productive, and the day moving. That experience matters at Central Park Garage in Somersworth, NH.

We're a flourishing automotive repair shop looking for an experienced Automotive Service Advisor to join our team. The business is established. The opportunity is here. We need someone ready to bring skill, personality, and ownership to the service counter.

What's here for you:

• Health insurance coverage.
• An established shop with an existing customer base and momentum.
• Support from our Store Manager and collaboration with our technicians.
• A professional, customer-focused environment that values teamwork, initiative, and accountability.
• An opportunity to put your experience to work and contribute ideas that make the shop better.

Your role: Working alongside our Store Manager, you'll help deliver an excellent customer experience from the first phone call to the final handoff. You'll build relationships, present work, coordinate repairs, and help customers feel confident about their decisions.

What you'll take ownership of:

• Make customers feel welcome. Listen carefully, ask the right questions, and accurately document their concerns.
• Make the work understandable. Explain inspection findings, recommended repairs, and maintenance priorities in clear, everyday language.
• Build estimates that are ready to sell. Coordinate parts, labor, pricing, and availability with attention to detail.
• Present recommendations with confidence. Explain the value, address questions, and secure customer authorization.
• Stay ahead of the callback. Keep customers updated on progress, changes, and completion times.
• Help the team keep work moving. Coordinate with our Store Manager and technicians, track approvals, and maintain organized repair orders.
• Give customers a reason to return. Review completed work, explain the invoice, and follow up on future service needs.

Previous automotive service advisor or service writer experience is required. You should be comfortable managing multiple repair orders, discussing vehicle repairs and maintenance, and guiding customers through estimates and approvals.

We want someone who brings:

• Strong sales skills grounded in honesty and customer trust.
• A friendly, professional presence on the phone and at the counter.
• Organization and composure when several things need attention.
• Dependable follow-through and ownership of the details.
• Respect for technicians, teammates, and customers.
• Comfort with shop management software and digital vehicle inspections.
• Initiative, coachability, and pride in doing the job well.

Bring the experience. Bring the personality. Make your mark. If you're good at what you do and ready to contribute to a shop with momentum, we'd like to meet you.

Apply through this posting with your résumé and a brief note telling us what makes you effective at the service counter.
