DescriptionAm Law Firm Seeks Employment Litigation Attorney for Growing PracticeAbout Firm & Position:A financially stable Am Law 200 firm is adding multiple newly created Employment Litigation Attorney positions following an influx of work from new clients. This established employment defense group represents mid-cap and Fortune 500 companies in sophisticated single-plaintiff litigation. The Employment Litigation Attorney will receive hands-on mentorship, direct involvement in case strategy, and opportunities to develop independent client relationships. The firm maintains a collaborative culture centered on professional respect, reasonable workloads, flexibility, and long-term attorney retention.This is a hybrid position requiring three days per week onsite.Employment Litigation Attorney Responsibilities:· Defend employers against claims involving wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour violations, and breaches of employment contracts and agreements.· Manage single-plaintiff employment litigation matters from inception through resolution. This team does not handle PAGA matters.· Draft pleadings, discovery, dispositive motions, and other substantive litigation documents.· Take and defend depositions, attend court appearances, and participate in mediation and trial preparation.· Handle matters in Northern, Central, and Southern California state courts and federal district courts within the Ninth Circuit.· Communicate directly with clients regarding case developments, strategy, risk, and recommended next steps.· Collaborate with partners on litigation strategy while developing the independence necessary to manage matters effectively.· Participate in marketing and business-development initiatives, with certain qualifying activities credited toward the annual hours requirement.Hours:1,850 annual hours for associates.
