This position combines hands-on patient coordination with front office leadership. The ideal candidate is highly organized, service-oriented, and experienced in dental or healthcare administration, with the ability to guide a team while delivering exceptional patient care.

Position Summary:

The Lead Patient Care Coordinator oversees daily front desk operations, supports and mentors
administrative staff, and ensures an efficient, compassionate patient experience from check-in to
check-out. This role serves as the bridge between patients, providers, and administrative systems
to keep clinic operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee daily front office operations, ensuring efficient workflow, scheduling,
  and patient flow
• Ensure a welcoming, compassionate patient experience and address concerns with
  empathy and professionalism
• Supervise, train, and support front office team members, fostering a professional and
  mission-driven environment
• Manage patient records, scheduling, and HIPAA-compliant data entry using Dentrix
• Coordinate referrals, lab cases, treatment plans, and post-operative processes
• Review staffing schedules in advance to identify coverage needs and coordinate
  temporary staffing support as necessary.
• Maintain office organization, supplies, and adherence to policies and procedures
• Support reporting, patient surveys, testimonials, and overall program impact initiatives
• Communicate effectively with staff, volunteers, and external partners to support clinic
  operation

Experience & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Minimum 3-5 years of administrative or dental office experience
• Experience working with Dentrix (required)
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience
• HIPAA certification (provided)
  

Schedule & Working Conditions

• Full-time, Monday - Friday (8:00am-5:00pm)
• Requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 30 lbs
• Work may include indoor and outdoor tasks
• Background check required
