Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will take on various vital responsibilities, including:

• Conducting thorough preliminary interviews to gather comprehensive client histories, ensuring accurate documentation from initial consultation to treatment completion.

• Evaluating clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health to identify specific challenges and tailor effective intervention strategies.

• Developing personalized intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups, employing evidence-based practices.

• Facilitating engaging therapy sessions, both individually and in group settings, aimed at fostering healing and resilience.

• Monitoring client progress throughout treatment, adjusting strategies as necessary to improve outcomes.

• Collaborating with fellow mental health specialists, physicians, nurses, and social workers on intervention plans to provide comprehensive care.

• Maintaining regular follow-up with psychiatrists and attending physicians for clients who require additional medical support during hospitalization.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse client population, including individuals facing various mental health disorders, addiction challenges, and emotional difficulties. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is essential.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.

• Successful completion of the NCE and/or the NCMHCE with an excellent score.

• A minimum of one year of professional experience as a mental health counselor is preferred.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, to document patient interactions and track progress.

• A solid understanding of various underlying physical and emotional health conditions, including addiction disorders.
